MOM’s Organic Market (Dobbs Ferry, NY)

For MOM’s 21st store location in Dobbs Ferry, NY, there was a desire to implement a dynamic and contemporary approach that reflected the MOM’s brand values. Overseeing two designers, I devised and led the concept, strategy, and environmental design for the space.

Featuring 16-foot black ceilings and white walls, the building was already equipped with a solid visual foundation, which enabled my team and I to use these attributes to our advantage. The signage used throughout the space matched the black-and-white aesthetic, alluding to chalkboard signage. This analog look was further employed with hand-drawn illustrations created by one of our in-house artists. Color accents were added to establish additional visual intrigue.

To convey MOM’s environmental values, we utilized only recyclable materials, including reclaimed wood and converd paper. Sign displays spoke to these sentiments directly, telling the story of MOM’s environmental projects and advocacy over the years since their inception.
